Cutting processing of Oiles plastic resin material using a composite lathe!
We will introduce a case where a jig was manufactured using an NC lathe multi-tasking machine! We will undertake processing while considering the material characteristics such as tolerances and distortion.
At Takimoto Giken Kogyo, we use an NC lathe combined processing machine to manufacture jigs for Oiles. While we can also handle machining with general-purpose lathes and milling machines, we opted for the combined processing machine to improve efficiency. ~Helpful Information~ The Oiles for automotive-related industrial machinery often have simple shapes, but materials may need to be ordered, which can lead to slightly longer delivery times. However, Oiles (polyacetal resin) contains lubricants and special fillers, making it difficult to meet tolerances, warping, and distortion requirements, but it has excellent machinability. Our company manufactures indexing and screw machining using NC lathe combined processing (Okuma) on a 4-axis machining center that does not require clamps or positioning jigs. We can also accommodate items with high production volumes.
